 🫁 Parasympathetic Breathing-

Slowly breathing in through the nose, and out through the nose or mouth- will naturally relax the body and mind- promoting the parasympathetic state of your nervous system. Our heart rate slows down, our brain waves slow down, the body feels safe, and we start to feel deeply relaxed. When we are in this state- the body can use it’s energy towards healing and restoration.

You will be guided in this style of breathing throughout experience. The session will be enhanced by the healing frequencies of singing bowls and other sound healing instruments (i.e. chimes, rain sticks...) creating a peaceful atmosphere that nurtures your body and mind.

🌱Whether you’re new to breathwork or looking to deepen your practice, this class will leave you feeling centered, relaxed, and rejuvenated. We welcome everyone to come experience this unique, nurturing practice at our new studio. Space is limited, so reserve your spot, to enjoy a peaceful pause, and build your foundation in your healing journey and breathing practice!

✨This is a free event. However, if you would like to make a donation, there will be a donation jar out. All proceeds go towards the launching of the Spirit Rising Healing Collective studio and helps us run more free/by donation events

🍃About the facilitator and this style of breath- Astika has been practicing breath work for over 10 years and has been implementing this particular style of breathing (as a foundation of her practice) for the last 8 years. Astika trained with her teacher- Erin Jacob, From Centered Within Yoga, who has spent many years studying the body's natural, biological breathing pattern. This style of breathing is incredibly safe, as it is how the body organically breathes. Many of us are out of touch with our intuitive breath, but once we practice it enough times, it will eventually "click" like we are remembering how to naturally breathe. Astika and Erin advocate practicing many styles of breath, and to always explore new breathing techniques. This natural breath is a wonderful foundation to your breath work practice, so it is a wonderful place to start.
